Jane Austen's SENSE AND SENSIBILITY

Adapted By Kate Hamill

September 28 - October 3, McGinnis Auditorium

A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters - sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne - after their father's sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality.

Join us for some of our most exciting dance performances. Our senior students with BFA concentrations in dance performance have created their unique works for your enjoyment. You're likely to see anything from the risque to the whimsical and everything in between.

Our season continues with a fun and unique dance performance. We've put together an exciting and eclectic lineup of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and contemporary dance. It's a lighter show with plenty for both the newcomer to dance and the dance lover. From light-hearted, comedic styles to moods of pure passion and intensity, all can appreciate the variety of raw emotion highlighted throughout these performances.

Under a scorching sun for days on end, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, they'll fight to keep at least one hand on a brand-new truck in order to win it. In the hilarious, hard-fought contest that is Hands on a Hardbody only one winner can drive away with the American Dream.

"Lord what fools these mortals be!" declares the merry trickster, Puck, in one of Shakespeare's most beloved tales of magic and romance. Hermia and Lysander are in love but, according to her father and Athenian law, she must marry another. Meanwhile a group of fairies, in anticipation of a royal wedding, meet to rehearse their play. What will happen when lovers, fairies, and "rude mechanicals" meet in the forest on a midsummer's eve?
