Marisha just signed a contract for the 1st Broadway National Tour of Book of Mormon opening in Denver this August!!!

Marisha Wallace came right out the gate running after she graduated from ECU. She started her journey with theme park work, cruise ships, dinner theater, then regional work and so on slowly working her way up the ladder rung by rung in the theater business. These past few years her career started to take strides beginning with her break out role of “Ado Annie” in the first all black cast of Oklahoma at Portland Center Stage. She and the show received rave reviews and with that momentum she went back to New York City. After some intense auditions and callbacks all the hard work paid off. She recently booked her first off-broadway show Sistas the Musical and the First National Broadway Tour of Book of Mormon, which will be led by Tony Award winner Gavin Creel. The education she got at ECU prepared her for this moment. Thanks to all of the Professors and to John Shearin for the instilling in me the work ethic, the drive, and the skills that is takes to make it in this business.

Here are a list of Marisha’s recent credits include: Dreamgirls (Effie); RENT (Joanne); Smokey Joe’s Café (BJ); Chicago (Mama Morton); Wedding Singer (Holly), One Night With Janis Joplin (Blues Singer); Hair (Dionne); Best Little Whorehouse (Jewel); Hairspray (Dynamite)
