Workshops and Special Projects
Students, Welcome back! With auditions for Streetcar beginning before classes even start its obvious we are hitting this semester running. Also coming up very quickly in the season is The Night of Musical Theatre (NOMT) revue to be presented in the Studio Theatre on Sept 28.  Auditions will not be held for NOMT until Streetcar is cast, but if you're not cast in that show and not obligated to a crew assignment, then please plan to audition for NOMT.  This fall the theme is The 2014 Broadway Tony Award Nominees: Best Musical, Best Revival and Best Score Categories.  This theme includes: Bridges of Madison County, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, If/Then, Aladdin, Violet, After Midnight, Les Mis, Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and Beautiful.  These show selections offer a wide, wide variety of styles that suit our program students well.  So, do some research, learn a new song or revive one you already know from one of the listed shows and prepare to audition.  Auditions will likely be held 7:00 PM Sept. 2-4.  A confirmation of audition times and dates will be posted soon to the call board.  Note that all songs auditioned must be memorized, you must have sheet music for the accompanist, and the closer each piece is to "performance ready" the better chance it has of being placed in the show line up.  Looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces.  -Michael Tahaney

Dancers,

The audition for our fabulous guest artist JOE-JOE GROOVES' hip-hop work will be on Sunday, 9/31. at 7pm.  Check-in will be at 6:30PM, and auditions will begin at 7PM.  This is an open audition, so all are welcome!  The main audition will run until 8pm and then Joe-Joe will rehearse until 11pm.  Please check the rehearsal schedule for the Wright performance (attached) as Joe-Joe's work will be performed at the Wright show AND as a part of Dance 2015.

You do NOT need to fill out a separate audition form for this audition.  You will be assigned the same numbers as the Dance 2015 audition.  Pick up  your number from the check-in table.  Newcomers will be assigned subsequent numbers to those used at the D15 audition.

Dancers should wear all black loose clothes and black boots or sneakers.  Hair should be kept pulled back off the face.  Again, if you have any questions, please direct them to the Concert Coordinator, Teal Darkenwald.

Thanks and rock it out, dancers!!!
