Crew and Rehearsal Priorities

  • Rehearsals for Main Stage production take priority over all other rehearsals.
  • Crew assignments that are part of a class have priority over all other rehearsals and/or crew assignments, except rehearsals for a main stage production. Students who are performing in a main stage production are still required and expected to fulfill their crew obligations at times arranged with the instructor. The instructor is obligated to provide work times that do not conflict with rehearsal times for students who are performing in a main stage production, but not for students performing in workshops, etc.
  • Crew assignments that are part of a formal class (i.e., THEA 2001, 3003, 2007, etc.) take priority over all rehearsals of workshops or other non-main stage productions.
  • Assigned class projects (i.e., directing class scenes or design projects, etc.) are part of a normal class workload and have no exemptive priority from crew assignments or main stage rehearsals.
