The Summer Drama Camp for youth ages, 7-10, 11-13, and 14-18, is a fun-filled week long experience in theatre including beginning acting and performance techniques for high school students, character development, performance, and script writing middle school, and integrated arts, puppetry, mask making, creative dramatics and storybook theatre for elementary school students. Emphasis is placed on the process of growth and discovery through theatre arts with a Final Share day held on Saturday to showcase the work of students with parents, family and friends.


ECU Summer Drama Camp 2008
July 28th-August 2nd


Dear Parents and Campers,

We are very excited about the ECU Drama Camp and have provided information for you below which may be of help in your planning.

DROP OFF AND CHECK IN
You may drop off your child in front of the Messick Building each day.  Students should check in each day with our greeters who will be located in front of the Messick Building.  We will have both staff and faculty members present to assist you and help students find their classrooms. Staff will be available to receive students by 12:45 Monday through Friday and 9:45 on Saturday, August 2nd.

  • WHEN: Monday, July 28th through Saturday, August 2nd
  • TIME: Monday through Friday, 1:00-4:00 PM
  • WHERE: Drop off and pick up is in front of the Messick Building on 5th Street.
  • WHAT TO WEAR: Wear comfortable shoes and clothes which will not restrict movement
  • WHAT TO BRING: Bring a snack and something to drink.  We will provide a cooler and ice to keep drinks cool.
    All snacks and drinks will be stored and consumed in Room 206.

Saturday August 2nd - Final Group Share
Family members and friends are invited to come and visit classes and see the Final Group Share presented by all three groups.

  • TIME: 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon
  • WHERE: Staff will be available to receive students in front of the Messick Building on 5th Street by 9:45 AM Saturday.

Parking for high school students who are planning on driving: do not park in the lot in front of the building as it is parking by permit only and you will be towed. There is a visitor parking lot located one block down from Messick or on-street parking which you are welcome to use the first day of camp. We will have temporary parking permits to give to you on the first day of camp to use for the remainder of the period
