There are NO REFUNDS, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Everyone attending a performance must have a ticket including children of any age. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Standing and/or sitting in the aisles is not permitted.
TICKET DELIVERY - You have a number of choices of how you can have your tickets delivered.
Print at Home – from our online ticketing pages you can print your tickets at home at the same time you make your purchase.
Mail – tickets purchased via the internet and over the phone can be mailed to you, however, this is only available within one week of the performance.
Will Call – your tickets can be held for you at our box office for you to pick up.
ECU Student Tickets are held at will-call awaiting presentation of their 1Card.
For Print at Home, a $1.00 service fee is added to each internet order. For individual tickets, a $2.00 service charge is added to each telephone and internet order. These fees are on a per-order basis, not per ticket. There is no service charge when tickets orders are placed in person.
Payment must be made at the time tickets are ordered; tickets cannot be reserved without payment for any length of time. Group ticket orders are subject to a partial payment at time of reservation and must have final numbers and payments to the box office one week before the event.
ARRIVING FOR THE PERFORMANCE
All performances take place in the McGinnis Auditorium (unless otherwise noted) on the ECU campus in Greenville, NC. McGinnis Theatre is located off Fifth Street, between Eastern and Lewis Streets. Visitors to the campus during normal business hours should contact ECU Parking and Transportation Services for parking directions. Parking permits are not required during evening and matinee performances.
Planning to arrive for parking one hour prior to the show's scheduled curtain time is often a good rule-of-thumb. This is especially true if you will also be purchasing and/or picking up tickets from will call. Please be advised that some events may transpire simultaneously with events at Wright Auditorium and other ECU venues that will impact upon parking. The parking tab above has additional information.
Generally, the theatre is open 30 minutes prior to the stated curtain time.
Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager. Once a performance has begun late seating may be limited to specific points in the performance, sometimes as late as intermission. Please be respectful of all late seating policies for everyone's safety and enjoyment of the performance. Ushers will help you to your seats at the appropriate time in the performance.
No food or drink is allowed in the theatre even if it is purchased during intermission.
Cell phones must be turned off.
Cameras and recording devices of all types are not permitted are they represent copyright violations and are strictly prohibited by law.
We kindly request that flowers wrapped in cellophane not be brought into the theatre as wrapping makes a considerable amount of noise. We suggest either leaving them in your vehicle or leaving them with our ushers for you to retrieve for presentation after the performance.
EXCHANGES - If you cannot use your ticket for a particular performance, you have a couple of options.
If it is at least 24 hours before the performance, you can exchange it for another performance of the same production. Exchanges are not permitted between different productions. To arrange for a ticket exchange by phone, simply call the Box Office. Have your tickets in hand when you call, as we may need your patron number. At that time we can reserve tickets for you, pending the return of your original tickets. Exchanges can also be made in person. In all cases, the new tickets will not be released until after original tickets are returned.
Tickets may be turned back into the Box Office to be re-sold as long as we receive it no later than one-hour before the start of that performance. If we are able to re-sell your ticket, you will receive a gift letter thanking you for the donation of your ticket at the price you paid.
If for any reason you miss your regularly scheduled performance and have not notified us in advance, you may use your tickets to 'walk-in' to any remaining performance of that same production. Subject to availability, the House Manager will escort all walk-in patrons into the theatre a few minutes before the start of the show to take any remaining empty seats. Early arrival is recommended, as a walk-in line forms prior to curtain time and entry is on a first-come, first served basis.
Waiting lists will be offered beginning one hour prior to sold-out performances. You must be present to put your name on the waiting list. Names cannot be placed on the list from phone, email, proxy, or any other communication other than being physically in the theatre lobby. Available seats will be released fifteen minutes prior to curtain on a first-come, first –served basis.
LOST AND FOUND
McGinnis Theatre does not maintain lost and found items. Any items found by our staff are turned into the ECU Police (252-328-6787).
