The curricula in this concentration offer the student courses to develop skills in the various aspects of theatre production. Included in the program of study are a wide range of formal lecture courses in scenery, lighting, and costuming, plus internships where selected students are supervised in an area of technical production. Extensive practical experience is also available in lab situations and through crew work on productions.

Students work in fully equipped scenery and property shops and studios. Strong emphasis is placed on professional quality in all production work and performances within the department.
