Our Mission
The mission of the department is to provide students with a rich academic framework on which to prepare for professional practice, service, and advancement in the wide-ranging field of criminal justice. Our objectives are straight forward. We work to create an environment that promotes intellectual growth for both faculty and students; to retain a talented, diversified faculty with strong professional commitment; to instill within our students a respect for the rule of law and respect for others that will be a credit to our department and the profession; to use developing technologies to improve and extend access to higher education; and to assess the curriculum and student performance in order to measure the departments success.
