The Social Work Profession
Social work has as its goal, the enhancement and social functioning of all individuals, families, and communities. Social work professionals are committed to relieving social problems in our society and to alleviating the obstacles that such social problems present. They also work to eliminate institutionalized social ills, such as poverty.
