Responsible for managing the Insurance and Remittance Sections within the Clinical Financial Services Department. The Insurance Section is responsible submitting for first time claims, eob’s (explanation of benefits), electronic filing of claims, claim edits, insurance denials, follow-up, appeals and registration edits. The Remittance section is responsible for the processing and batching of the deposit information received from the cashiers office, the posting of third party and patient payments to the accounts in the IDX Billing System. Acts as a resource person for IDX processes within the School of Medicine and works with management in the implementation of new IDX modules and upgrades, and policy and procedures. |
