Project Description:
The Farm worker Summit and Networking Event is a program that features an annual networking event for farm worker advocates and other interested individuals in North Carolina. Coordinated by members of the NC Farm worker Institute, a subcommittee within the NC Farm worker Ministry Committee, the event serves to raise the awareness about farm workers within the state as well as to connect farm worker advocates. The program developed last year with an interest to maximize limited resources for farm workers by linking researchers, etc., encouraging collaboration, raising awareness about current farm workers, and sharing knowledge across disciplines.
