Our research projects cover a broad spectrum: from basic biomedical studies involving molecular, cellular and animal models of disease to translational and applied clinical studies involving human subjects. We conduct pilot service projects that engage community partners and agencies to improve health care delivery across North Carolina, with emphasis on the rural and military populations in the eastern and coastal region.
