This mission parallels the national mandate for the training of more generalist physicians, and our efforts have been acknowledged through recognition by numerous professional associations, inclusion in various national rankings, and the awarding of initiative grants. Every year our Admissions Committee reviews and evaluates hundreds of applicants from North Carolina to select our entering class of 76.
