Application Procedure for 2019 Entering Class
The Brody School of Medicine (BSOM) participates in the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). Applicants need to visit the website of AMCAS to obtain instructions for this electronic application.

If this e-mail has not been received within 1 week after receiving the "Application Processed" e-mail from AMCAS, applicant should contact

Non-refundable application fee: $70 (see Application Instructions)
Recent passport size photograph (color & appropriate for a professional application) submitted electronically
No paper applications will be accepted.
Letters of Evaluation

Should be received by AMCAS no later than November 1st (August 31st for EDP applicants-see FAQ#18). No letters will be accepted after December 15th.
There are two options for required letters:
Three individual letters
- two academic references (from individuals who have taught you coursework for a grade), one of which should be from a science instructor,
- one personal non-academic reference (employer, advisor, or other non-family individual)
One letter from the Pre-Medical Advisory Committee at your undergraduate school
Some consideration may be given to applicants who have not done any academic work for three or more years. Interested applicants should contact our office for more information.
Applicants are responsible for assuring that required letters have been submitted and released by the applicant to BSOM.
Letters submitted directly to our program cannot be accepted
Additional recommendation letters will not be accepted after the deadline (
including alternate applicants)
Oldest MCAT Scores Considered: 2015
Scores older than 3 years not considered
July 24, 2018-latest test date for early decision applicants
2019 scores will NOT be considered
