This is particularly true of women faculty, who are frequently isolated from other academic women and thus lack day-to-day guidance and advice. This workshop will focus on ways to improve mentoring within the academic health center community and the many issues related to career advancement, with an emphasis on increasing scholarly productivity.
Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Mentor peer faculty and junior colleagues on career development.
- Develop a five-year plan for their own career development.
- Set an agenda leading to accomplishment of this plan.
