Promotion and Tenure at the Brody School of Medicine requires observation of teaching by trained observers within each department. Faculties who wish observation for self-improvement independent of Promotion and Tenure also benefit from skilled observers. This session is designed for faculty members who will serve as observers or who will be observed using the Brody School of Medicine Procedures and Instruments. This session will focus particularly upon the pre-conference, the recording of the observation, the post-observation conference, and giving feedback to the observed faculty member.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
  • Conduct a pre-observation conference
  • Conduct a post-observation conference
  • Conduct an observation of someone teaching
  • Complete the observation instrument
  • Give oral and written feedback to the observed faculty member
Participation is limited. To participate, please complete and submit the Workshop Registration Form.
