WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, AND GRAND ROUNDS
Through the Grand Rounds for Medical School Faculty Workshop Series, faculty members can develop and enhance their skills as teachers, clinicians, researchers, and educational leaders. To find out dates and times and to sign up for offerings of interest, view our workshop calendar.
Workshops
Workshops typically last one and a half hours and ar offered during regular work hours and evenings, to accommodate different schedules. Topics include promotion and tenure, medical writing, academic leadership and other teaching, career, and clinical/research related topics.
Conferences
Special conferences presented by the Office of Faculty Development include the Women in Medicine and Science Conference. The Women in Medicine and Science Conference is a half day seminar held at the East Carolina Heart Institute, facilitated by a nationally-known speaker, focusing on excellence in medical education as it pertains to the special needs of women.
Grand Rounds
Medical Education Grand Rounds are presented in conjunction with the Office of Medical Education, featuring special themes specifically pertaining to medical education issues.
