ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATIONS
Ms. Flinchbaugh's goal of the consultation is to not only improve the current piece of writing but to also improve the overall writer. Her sessions usually take between 30 to 45 minutes but can move along quicker if she is provided the requested piece of writing prior to the session.
The Process
Before the appointment:
- Provide a copy of the piece of writing to Ms. Flinchbaugh before the consultation for her to review and better understand the concerns you have about your writing.
- Ms. Flinchbaugh will conteact you to set up an appointment time.
During the appointment Ms. Flinchbaugh will
- Discuss your higher order concerns, such as organization and clarity, then moved on to lower order concerns, as grammar and mechanics.
- Identify any error patterns you might make in your writing.
- Address error patterns and avoid them in future writings
