DEMONSTRATION OPPORTUNITY -The Zeiss LSM 880 super resolution confocal microscope with airyscan will be on site Feb 23- Mar 2 in Brody 3S-08. The unit will be available for investigators to image their samples. Please click on Reservations Online tab to the right for information on reserving time.
The Core Imaging Center is a shared resource for the ECU community, providing state-of-the art equipment to meet specialized microscopy, flow cytometry, and protein quantification application needs.
The Center is located on the third floor of the Brody Medical Science Building, and is open to all users at ECU and the corporate community on a fee basis. Training and technical support are available for new and trained users.
Currently, the Core Imaging Center houses a
Zeiss PALM LCM (Laser Capture Microdissection) microscope and the
Zeiss LSM 700 laser scanning confocal microscope with on-stage incubation. Newly added is the
Protein Simple WES system, which utilizes a capillary cartridge system to provide quantitated size-based separation on as little as 0.6-1.2 ug of protein lysate. The
Becton Dickinson LSR II analytical flow cytometer resides in the Flow Cytometry Core Facility located on the fourth floor.
These systems were purchased with funds made available through a North Carolina Biotechnology Center Institutional Development Grant and Brody School of Medicine Research and Graduate Studies.
Reminder: An analysis station for the LSM 700 Confocal is located in 3S-08 and is available free of charge to users. Full versions of both ZEN Black and ZEN Blue software are loaded on this station.
