Health Insurance coverage is mandatory for enrollment at the Brody School of Medicine. Students are required to have health insurance coverage that meets the established minimum standard for coverage.
You may also meet insurance requirements if you are covered by a spouse's, parent's or employer's plan.
| School of Medicine Minimum Standards for Health Insurance |
- An annual deductible no higher than $500
- Out-of-Pocket maximum loss of $4,500 per year, plus deductible
- Coverage of at least $250,000 per insured per lifetime to include usual and customary or pre-negotiated frees for:

- Inpatient hospitalization, physician and surgery benefits
- Inpatient physicians benefits
- Outpatient testing reimbursement
- Outpatient physician benefits
- Prescription drug coverage
- Inside Limits (e.g. $2,500 maximum benefit per year) may be imposed on the following coverage:

- Mental health benefits at a minimum of 50% reimbursement
- Substance Abuse Coverage
