By now, you should have received instructions to complete the Student Report of Medical History with your offer of admissions. Please return this document to the Office of Student Affairs at BSOM along with the additional immunizations required by the Brody School of Medicine and the University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina.
Additional Immunizations include:
- Hep B Vaccine (series of three) or positive titer
- Varicella titer of positive immunity or 2 does of the Varicella Vaccine
- Negative tuberculin test (PPD). Students will receive a PPD test during orientation.

- If you test positive at orientation, a chest x-ray and completion of the Annual Symptoms Check for Reactive PPD form will be required at that time.
- If you have tested positive in the past, please provide that result and chest x-ray report. You will also be required to complete the Annual Symptoms Check for Reactive PPD form at orientation.
We will accept the following documentation:
- East Carolina University's Student Report of Medical History
- Official letterhead from a physician or health department containing an original signature, the date of the verification statement, and the date(s) the immunizations were administered
- Previous undergraduate and/or graduate school immunization record
- Childhood immunization record
