Clinical Laboratory Science - Curriculum

During the first two years of the program, students complete pre-requisite courses in biology and chemistry and well as general education requirements. In the professional phase (junior and senior year) students complete on campus courses in each of the major clinical laboratory science disciplines (hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunohematology) as well as clinical rotations in each of these departments at a clinical facility. Current clinical affiliates include Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern, Nash Health Care System, Rocky Mount, Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Kinston, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, and Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro.
