The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Accordingly, continuing medical education courses sponsored or jointly sponsored by the School satisfy the criteria for Category 1 Credit toward the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.

Appropriate courses also qualify for recognition by various professional specialty associations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians.
