Non-Degree Seeking Students (Non-matriculating)

Students interested in taking the on-line prerequisites must email Dr. Andrew Vermiglio at on March 1 of each year, for the following fall semester. Only 20 students are allowed to take the prerequisite courses on-line. So, the first 20 students to email Dr. Vermiglio on March 1 AND who meet the GPA and GRE* criteria, will be selected for the prerequisites and subsequently notified. The undergraduate GPA must be at least 3.0, and the GRE scores must be above the 30th percentile in both the Verbal and Quantitative sections.  This information must be included in the email request on March 1. These will need to be verified by sending transcripts and the GRE scores directly to Dr. Vermiglio, once the student is notified of a seat in the prerequisites.  Students who apply to the Graduate School before obtaining a seat from Dr. Vermiglio will forfeit their application fee and may not get a seat in the courses.

Once notified of having a seat in the prerequisites, the student must (1) apply to the ECU graduate school as a non-degree seeking student (Dr. Vermiglio will send instructions with acceptance) and (2) fill out the Non-degree Seeking Student Request form which is sent to you by Dr. Vermiglio. Once approved to take courses by the GRADUATE SCHOOL, you must contact Dr. Vermiglio for registration of the courses. Non-degree students cannot enroll themselves in classes.
