Vitae

My research interests include child language development, literacy
development (specifically the areas of phonological awareness, the
development of reading skills, and the achievement of comprehension
abilities), infant and toddler development and the importance of parent
involvement and training. My current research project involves reading
comprehension, brain function, and feedback mechanisms. Our department has neuroimaging equipment and we are beginning to investigate various changes in brain functioning under various reading conditions.
