Biographical Information
Born in Iron Mountain, MI. Lived for 11 years during youth in Memphis, TN. 1970 graduate of Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, CA., B.S. degree from University of California, Irvine in 1973. Cum laude graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1977, and certificate in Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery from University of Connecticut Health Center in 1980. Medical degree from Connecticut in 1982 with one year in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA the next year. Academic positions at Vanderbilt, University of Connecticut, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, University of Maryland Medical Center and Dentistry at UMC and the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry before coming to the School of Dentistry at East Carolina University. Married to Carmen in 1976 and have 4 kids.
