Smoking cessation program to be offered at ECU

GREENVILLE, N.C.   (Oct. 23, 2007)   —   Experts from ECU Physicians will help smokers kick the habit during an eight-week smoking cessation program starting Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Called "Freedom from Smoking," the American Lung Association class will cover smoking facts, ways to deal with cravings, healthy substitutions for cigarettes and other methods to help people quit smoking. ECU Physicians is the group practice of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Classes are Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. from Oct. 30 through Dec. 18. Classes meet at Moye Medical Center at 521 Moye Blvd. in Greenville. Cost is $45.
