College of Nursing inducts Golden Lamp Society members

GREENVILLE, N.C.  (Nov. 12, 2008)  —  East Carolina University's College of Nursing inducted inaugural members of the Golden Lamp Society on Nov. 7 during homecoming.

The society was created to recognize individuals or organizations who give annually to the college. The 47 inductees received College of Nursing pins with purple and gold ribbons as Acting Dean Sylvia Brown welcomed them to the new donor loyalty society.

Any donor who gives a minimum of $100 for two or more consecutive years will become a member. Recent graduates also will be included for membership into a sub-group of the society by giving consistently after graduation. Members will be recognized with their names on a plaque in the nursing building, in an alumni publication and on the College of Nursing Web site.
