GREENVILLE, N.C.   (Oct. 19, 2011)   —   Dr. Lloyd Novick has been selected to receive the 2011 Excellence in Health Administration Award from the American Public Health Association.

Novick is chair of the Department of Public Health at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

The award recognizes people who have advanced the practice of health administration through outstanding leadership and contributions in management or educational settings. Novick will receive the award Nov. 1 at the APHA annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
