<h1>Current Trials</h1>

We are currently beginning new studies in diabetes and its complications in Eastern North Carolina including neuropathy, foot ulcers and the effects of gastroparesis on glucose control. Other areas of research interest include the biochemical aspects of insulin resistance, obesity, lipid metabolism and osteoporosis.

 
<h2>Currently Enrolling Trials</h2>
  • We are currently seeking individuals with Type 2 Diabetes to participate in a research study to determine the effectiveness of a new insulin in controlling blood glucose levels.
  • We are currently conducting a study involving patients with Type 1 or Type 2 and who have major depression.
  • The Diabetes Center at ECU, BSOM, is conducting a research study to learn more about the effectiveness of an investigational medication for diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage).
  • The Diabetes Center at ECU, BSOM, is conducting a research study to learn more about the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication to help lower glucose levels.
