
Ruth Little joined our faculty bringing more than 22 years of public health experience. Most recently she served as the public health director for Jones County for the past six and one-half years where she developed and managed “Grace Clinic”, a uninsured/underinsured primary clinic with extended hours located within the health department, family based counseling program, migrant outreach program, school based health education project and certified Jones County Healthy Carolinians Task Force. She was employed for many years as nursing home administrator in facilities offering specialized care in addition to her experience as a county planner. She has substantial experience in both for-profit and non-profit management. Ms. Little serves on numerous boards and provides consultation to health care agencies within eastern North Carolina.
