We welcome all heart and vascular patients to the East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University. Located on the Health Sciences Campus, it is the medical home for anyone needing care for a heart or vascular condition or illness.
The East Carolina Heart Institute is a remarkable center and a leader in patient care. It is the first in North Carolina devoted exclusively to the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. By offering all services in this location, we bring medical experts and patients together without the need for appointments at separate offices.

Diagnosis and treatment of

- irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia)

Consultations for heart surgery and other interventions that restore heart function for people who suffer blockage, valve problems or other problems also take place at the Heart Institute.
We also have all heart and vascular imaging at our
Cardiovascular Imaging Center within the heart institute.
