Children's Health

Overview

Your children come first at ECU Physicians. Our commitment starts with your baby’s first breath and continues through the teenage years and beyond.

We provide all immunizations and well-baby check-ups. We’ll answer any questions you may have about your baby’s care. If your child becomes sick with a serious cold, flu or other illness, we’re ready to help make things better. We’ll take care of minor injuries, too.

We manage ongoing conditions such as diabetes, and can refer you for expert consultations and diagnosis with our specialists. As your child enters the teenage years, we offer a special Adolescent Clinic to help address the changes of young adulthood.

We’ll evaluate your child’s developmental progress, and will diagnose and make recommendations for conditions such as ADHD (attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder), as well as autism.

We work hand-in-hand with outstanding specialists in cancer, digestive conditions, developmental concerns and other pediatric specialties. We are proud to work with the pediatric heart specialists at the East Carolina Heart Institute. All of our pediatric heart care (cardiology) is offered at our Heart Institute.

Our Diagnostic Dilemma Clinic offers evaluations and treatment plans for children with difficult-to-diagnose problems.

For families who’d like the same doctor, we offer Adult and Pediatric Health Care at our Doctor’s Park #2 location (252 744 0766). This office also offers care for adults with pediatric conditions (transitional care) such as cerebral palsy, and genetic syndromes such as Down syndrome. It is staffed by specialists in adult and pediatric care.

After hours, our patients have access to health care, including urgent care, at our Acute Care Clinic (252 744 2335).

With the credentials of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, you can be assured of the best care provided by compassionate physicians. Our pediatricians are board certified in treating children from birth to age 18.
