Children's Health
Overview
Our service to children of all ages is making a difference for eastern North Carolina. We have the most advanced technology to support tiny premature babies during the first critical weeks of life and the skills to provide care for infants, toddlers and children through adolescence with a compassionate touch.
Our staff of expert pediatricians offers
general pediatrics, including routine and well-baby checkups, immunizations and medical management of ongoing conditions such as asthma at the
Pediatric Outpatient Center. This site also includes our
Diagnostic Dilemma Clinic.
When pediatric patients have more serious concerns, such as heart disorders, cancer, blood diseases, infectious disease or juvenile arthritis, they may be referred to our
subspecialty pediatric care services. Inpatient admissions information is available for referring physicians by calling (252) 847-4100 and asking for the appropriate subspecialty pediatric service or the pediatric admitting resident.
We also have special services for teen-aged mothers, as well as
learning and behavior and
Children’s Developmental Services Agency.
