Maybe you’re a dedicated runner preparing for a half-marathon. Or, you’re a mom or dad who plays soccer with your kids on the weekend, or a high-school student gearing up for varsity sports.
Whatever your need, we’re ready to keep you in the game. We have physicals, check-ups for minor pains and aches, evaluations for intense activities and diagnosis of chronic problems. Our sports medicine doctors have the special training to help you get the most out of your workout, recreational game, team sport or individual training goals.
In addition to taking care of the specialized performance needs of athletes including dancers, our physicians and staff treat knee and shoulder injuries, tendonitis, stress fractures, concussions, low-back pain, and other common problems of recreational athletes at all levels. Our sports medicine doctors work with people who have other illnesses such as asthma, arthritis, hypertension or diabetes to help them stay fit and enjoy better health.
We also offer women's fitness, counseling on injury prevention, nutrition and supplements, performance assessment (VO2 max testing, lactate threshold) and guidance in increasing physical activity and fitness.
