Heart & Vascular Diseases
Overview
The health professionals who treat heart diseases include our cardiologists, the 17 physicians and fellows who provide cardiology services. Because we are one of the largest heart centers in the state, we can diagnose and treat heart disease through a full range of methods, including stress tests and catheterization. We also provide counseling on angioplasty and other surgical options; medication, nutrition and diet counseling.
Vascular diseases, including high blood pressure, stroke and other illnesses, are treated by our staff of 14 internal medicine physicians and 17 cardiologists. These physicians evaluate and monitor every aspect of vascular disease, including peripheral artery disease, arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, aneurysms and other circulatory issues. We also assist in diet and cholesterol management, and can make referrals to surgeons, neurologists and rehabilitation specialists where appropriate.
