Heart Surgery
We are national leaders in robotic and minimally invasive surgery procedures that reduce the trauma and pain to patients and allows them a shorter recovery time. We perform traditional and minimally invasive coronary bypass and valve repair surgery, as well as surgery for congenital heart disease.
Each year we perform more than 1,200 open-heart surgeries of all complexities, including procedures for arrhythmia and congestive heart disease. We performed the first videoscopic minimally invasive mitral valve surgery in North America, and recently began the first FDA-approved mitral valve protocol using the Da Vinci robotic device.
Our pioneering work in robotics and minimally invasive surgery is underscored by consistently excellent results that have brought national and international recognition.
