Adult Medicine and Pediatrics

Double certification means outstanding care for adults and children

Our combined medicine-pediatrics office has exceptional care for the whole family. When you need physicals and checkups, you’ll find we have the screenings and preventive care to stay in good health. When serious medical conditions arise, trust us for the best treatments for every condition, at every age. We listen to your concerns, and make sure you understand your treatments.

You may not have heard of this double specialty, but it’s a well-established tradition that offers combined training in internal medicine and pediatrics. This additional training allows us to easily diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions. We provide top-notch care for infants, children, teenagers, young adults, adults in the parenting years – and beyond. We treat long-term and complex illnesses, along with urgent medical needs.

Children today often have adult medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Caring for adult problems in children requires customized approaches and medicines. You can turn to us for the most age-appropriate treatments. We offer individualized care for teenagers and young adults.

We have gynecologic and obstetrics care for women of all ages, including prenatal care, and help with hormonal issues such as irregular periods. In addition to providing sports physicals, we care for the injuries that may result. We treat dermatological problems.

What’s more, our medicine-pediatrics doctors can see you and your family members during the same appointment, meaning less travel time and fewer missed school hours. If you have a sudden, but nonlife-threatening illness, we can often schedule your appointment within 24 hours. New patients will find our scheduling times are very convenient.

In most cases, we can help with all your health needs and those of your children – without referral to a specialist, allowing you to avoid those higher co-payments. Our level of care is high, but because we provide primary care your co-payment will be lower.

If referrals are needed, we can make recommendations within our outstanding network of ECU Physicians specialists. If needed, we can refer to the appropriate private practice physicians. Should you need surgery, you may be referred to ECU Physicians surgeons, whose offices are in our building. A pharmacy is also downstairs.

You’ll feel very comfortable in our bright and spacious new office at Adult and Pediatric Health Care, Moye Medical Center II. Ample free parking is in front of the building.
