Emergency Medicine
We have more than 16 specialists in emergency care, devoted to the rapid treatment of severe injury or disease crisis. We work with support professionals at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, a Level I Regional Trauma Center.
Along with our medical skills, we are trained in disaster management and the rapid treatment of serious needs. We have one major resuscitation room, six monitored beds for critically ill patients, a decontamination area, two rooms for OB-GYN patients and three beds for orthopedic patients. We also have exam rooms for dental, eye and ear-nose and throat exams.
Patients are generally treated in two areas, one for non-life threatening complaints, and one for graver conditions. The same staff treat patients regardless of their disorder.
In case of emergency, dial 911.
For questions about a troubling condition before visiting the Emergency Room, call 744-4611 or 1-800-722-3281.
