Services Account representatives are available to assist patients with their bills Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For assistance with accounts or questions regarding bills, patients can call the following numbers for assistance: 1-800-722-3281 (toll-free) or 252-744-2128 (local).
Financial counseling is available to all patients. Counselors are located in each outpatient site. Patients are encouraged to meet with a counselor if they need financial assistance or have concerns about paying for their care. An appointment is not necessary.
ECU Physicians participates in and works closely with many state-funded programs. The financial counselors are skilled in working with patient accounts, insurance policies and procedures, Vocational Rehabilitation, Cancer Fund, Sickle Cell Fund, Children's Special Health Services, Services for the Blind and HIV assistance.
Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are available for patients and family members to use while in the ECU Physicians patient areas. Please request wheelchairs and/or other equipment when scheduling your appointment.
Hearing Impaired Interpreters: Interpreter service for hearing impaired patients is available. Please request the service through your physician's office or while making your appointment.
Interpreter Service for the Speech and Hearing-Impaired: Interpreter service for speech and hearing impaired patients is available by prearrangement only. Please request this service when scheduling an appointment at your physician's office.
Spanish interpreters are available during service hours to assist Spanish-speaking patients. Although interpreters for other languages are not routinely available, we will make every effort to provide assistance. Please request interpreter services when your appointment is scheduled.
