The Sports Medicine clinic is located in the Firetower Medical Office and is staffed by fellowship trained primary care Sports Medicine physicians. We focus on helping you to optimize performance, maximize function and minimize disability. Clinical services are available for children, adolescents, and adults of any age by appointment or referral from a physician.
In addition to taking care of the specialized performance needs of athletes and dancers, our physicians and staff treat knee and shoulder injuries, tendonitis, stress fractures, concussions, low-back pain, and other common problems of recreational athletes at any level. Primary care sports medicine physicians also work with people who have chronic illnesses, such as asthma, arthritis, hypertension, or diabetes, to help maintain fitness and optimize health. We also provide other services, such as women's fitness, counseling on injury prevention, nutrition and supplements, performance assessment (VO2 Max testing, lactate threshold), and increasing physical activity and fitness.
