Overview
Our capable, highly motivated surgeons are pioneers in modern health-care who are recognized as leaders in surgical excellence, research and development.
Each year we perform more than 13,000 major procedures, among them 1,200 open-heart surgeries. We also perform 6,500 outpatient procedures that do not require hospitalization.
Our landmark work includes minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, as well as minimally invasive procedures for digestive diseases, cancers, women's reproductive disorders and others.
We developed and launched the da Vinci robotic device, which has performed ground-breaking surgeries noted around the world. We also developed the procedure known as the Greenville Gastric Bypass to help treat the morbidly obese.
Our work includes AAA, or abdominal aortic aneurysm repair; cryosurgery for removing cancerous liver tumors; minimally invasive direct coronary bypass; transplantation; in utero, neonatal and pediatric surgery; reconstructive surgery; plastic and cosmetic surgery.
