Meet Our Specialist

RICHARD S. ZERI, M.D., FACS
Richard S. Zeri, M.D. completed his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and by the American Board of Surgery.

He completed nine years of surgical training to develop the special skills necessary for aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, hand surgery and microsurgery. His training included a surgery residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, through the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University School in Greenville. He also completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

He undertook additional sub-specialty training as a fellow in hand and microsurgery at the C.M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Ky., where he also completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship.

Dr. Zeri is known for his expertise in hand surgery, and has a professional interest in aesthetic surgery, body contouring after significant weight loss, and breast surgery.

He serves as assistant professor of plastic surgery at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and practices at ECU Plastic Surgery, the Brody School of Medicine-affiliated practice.
