Women's Health
High-Risk Pregnancy Services
Our concern is making sure women with complications to pregnancy are able to reach full term with the fewest risks to their health and to the health of their unborn child.
Mothers' high-risk conditions may include diabetes, high blood pressure or infections which require specialized treatments. We have a full range of testing abilities that include genetic testing through traditional amniocentesis (withdrawing a small amount of fluid from around the fetus), percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS) and chorionic villous sampling (CVS).
We also have the most modern ultrasound available to diagnose and treat the baby in the womb, including our new "3-D" ultrasound system which provides an almost photographic image of the developing child.
Since prenatal diagnosis of genetic or medical complications is only the beginning, we also provide counseling to help mothers make informed decisions about care.
