Gynecological Oncology (Cancer) Services
Our comprehensive care brings the most up-to-the minute medical treatments and radiation therapy for all types of reproductive-system cancers. Additionally, we provide consultation and management of all conditions requiring complex pelvic surgery.
Services for women with cancers of the uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina or vulva are provided by a full-time subspecialist, who helps women determine the best course of treatment. Our treatment options combine the appropriate surgery, medical (chemotherapy) regimen or radiation therapy . As on-going participants in clinical trials and a member of the Gynecological Oncology Group, a national research organization to develop new therapies for gynecological cancers, we promise the best treatments available to our patients.
We also evaluate and treat difficult non-malignant conditions such as endometriosis.
Our compassionate staff is dedicated to our patients' welfare, and is involved in research for new chemotherapy agents, as well as for developing gene therapy for ovarian cancer using the BRCA1 gene.
