The FITT building is located adjacent to Minges Coliseum on the athletic campus and is home to HPL exercise service outreach programs. It also serves as a exercise training facility for research studies. Several faculty have offices in FITT. The facility has private locker rooms and a large main exercise area.
As an exercise training facility it is equipped with both aerobic and resistance exercise equipment as well as floor space to accommodate flexibility exercises, core training and free weights. Treadmills support CATV, internet and iPhone/iPad/iPod connection. The space also includes several flat panel TVs for viewing CATV programming.
FITT also accommodates the instruction of undergraduate and graduate students in facilitating exercise training studies and instruction as part of the Department of Kinesiology and provides stipend opportunities for graduate Exercise Physiology majors.
The third floor is equipped similar to the FITT building. It is staffed by the HPL and serves as an exercise training and fitness programming facility. It is equipped with private showers and locker rooms.
