Salary and Benefits
First year salary
Equal to fourth-year residency salary
Vacation
Four weeks of vacation annually.
Sick Leave
Twelve days of paid sick leave annually.
Medical Plan
Coverage is effective date of employment. Initially enrolled in the $500 deductible plan. Cost is determined by type of coverage: Individual Coverage, Parent/Child Coverage, or Family Coverage. Eligible expenses paid at 80%, with a 20% copayment.
Long Term Disability Insurance
Income protection in event of disability. Income is nontaxable and pays 60% of base salary. Policy includes death benefit. Effective upon employment.
Group Life Insurance
Protection for your beneficiary equal to your annual salary. Policy also includes an accidental death and dismemberment clause. Coverage effective upon employment.
Dependent Life Insurance
Life insurance policy on dependent ($5,000/spouse; $2,500/children). Coverage is effective after 3 months.
Workers' Compensation
Compensation for lost work time and/or medical expenses for job-related accidents and illnesses.
Pharmacy Discounts
Reduced rate for prescribed drugs for employee and immediate family.
Flexible Benefits
On the first calendar quarter after completion of six months of service, residents will be able to choose a comprehensive, tax savings benefit program that includes medical and dental plans, child and health care reimbursement accounts and partnership savings (401[k]) plan. Additional group life insurance choices are also available on an after-tax basis.
Medical Liability Insurance
Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 will be provided.
CME
Ten days professional leave for continuing medical education and an additional five days professional leave for fellows who do obstetrics.
