In early 2010, a 12-person board of directors was formed for The Friends of Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center and the first meeting was held. Since then the board continues to evolve and grow to adapt to the changing needs of the Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center.
The Friends of the Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center (Friends) is a community of people who want to support the patients, their families, staff, physicians and educators of our Cancer Center. Members of our board are the guiding energy leading the Friends in support of our community.
The Board is always interested in candidates to join us in our efforts to support the Community of Cancer in Eastern North Carolina. Every member has an intimate relationship with the disease of cancer as a result of the impact upon themselves, family or friends.
