Please review the information on this site, as it contains several resources that should assist you in your role at our institution.

We are pleased that you are one of our trainees, and hope that you find the information on this site helpful.  Please contact the GME Office at 252.847.4268 if you need clarification, or have a suggestion for improvement.

Our residents and fellows are employed by Vidant Medical Center, but the educational programs are directed by the Brody School of Medicine.  Questions about employment, finances or contracts should be directed to the GME Office.  Specific questions about training (schedules, graduation criteria, supervision) should be directed to the Program Director, Program Coordinator, or Chief Resident.

The Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredits programs.  In general, physicians must successfully complete an accredited program in order to be eligible to be certified by a specialty board.
