Our residents and fellows are employed by Pitt County Memorial Hospital, but the educational programs are directed by the Brody School of Medicine. Questions about employment, finances or contracts should be directed to the GME Office. Specific questions about training (schedules, graduation criteria, supervision) should be directed to the Program Director, Program Coordinator, or Chief Resident.
The Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (
ACGME) accredits programs. In general, physicians must successfully complete an accredited program in order to be eligible to be certified by a specialty board.
