Status of Work
Library Section - Installation of roofing, brick and pre-cast concrete is basically complete. Installation of window frames and glazing is 90% complete. The in wall inspections for the MEP trades is ongoing and installation of drywall is starting.
Allied Health Section - Installation of roofing, brick and pre-cast concrete is 95% complete. Installation of window frames and glazing is 50% complete. The in wall inspections for the MEP trades is starting.
Nursing Section - Installation of roofing, and pre-cast concrete is 75% complete. Installation of brick has started. MEP trades are continuing installation of ductwork, plumbing lines and electrical conduits both above the ceilings and in the walls.
Work Next 30 Days
Library Section - Installation of window frames and glass will be completed. Installation of drywall will be ongoing, and painting will be started. Start-up of the HVAC system is scheduled for the last week of this month.
Allied Health Section - Work on the roof and facade will be completed. Installation of window frames and glass will be completing. Installation of drywall and painting will be started.
Nursing Section- Installation of roofing and pre-cast concrete will be completed. Brick installation will be ongoing. MEP trades should be finished with above ceiling and in wall work.
Issues
Presently the work is 56 days behind the CM@Risk construction schedule. The additional time lost this last month was associated with the continued delay involved with achieving dry-in of the Library portion of the building. The CM@Risk has met with the drywall and painting contractors to developed and implement a plan to make up four weeks during their work. They are also continuing to develop other schedule alternatives.
Audio Visual Equipment Design final specifications are being reviewed for comments. Documents are scheduled to be submitted to Materials Management for bidding by September 30, 2005.
Furniture colors and fabrics have been reviewed and approved by the two Deans and the Library Director. Draft furniture specifications are to be submitted by October 3rd with the final documents to be submitted to Materials Management for negotiations and bidding by November 1, 2005.
